And during my third trimester, I felt itchy. I dealt with the itchiness by a lot of oatmeal baths and using really heavy moisturizers and creams more than lotions. And just lathering them on and then just having people scratch my back or scratch my legs constantly.
I felt very like I couldn’t wait for this to be over. I could not wait. I felt swollen. I was sore. I felt fat and ugly.
I could not wait to meet my daughter. I was a little bigger at this point. I had gained about 20 pounds, so I wasn’t too big. But I was definitely starting to get a little uncomfortable.
I was almost excited because my doctor told me after 35 weeks we aren’t going to worry about counting contractions or having them too early because by that point we just won’t stop you if you go into labor. So, it was almost freeing.
The third trimester is not too bad. The end once you start to get really big and it’s harder to sleep, it can be kind of exhausting because you know you’re not going to get a lot of sleep once the baby’s born. So, I’d say to try to get as much done as you can, but to rest and to not overwhelm yourself.
